Who is Victor Crone?
Victor Fritze-Crone is a Swedish singer-songwriter who won Eesti Laul and will be representing Estonia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel with his song “Storm”.
Born in 1992 and raised in Sweden, Victor started playing the guitar and writing songs at a young age. He wasn’t the only one in his family who loved music, with his grandmother being a singer and his grandfather being a violinist. However, only at the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles to accomplish his goals as a songwriter. There at Capitol Records, he worked with Diane Warren, Desmond Child and Eric Brazilian, and released a song called “Jimmy Dean” under the name Vic Heart. His debut single “Burning Man” was released in 2015.
2019 wasn’t the first year when he competed for the right to represent a country at Eurovision: he also participated in Sweden’s Melodifestivalen in 2015, featuring in Behrang Miri‘s song “Det rår vi inte för”, with less luck than this year.

To date, his competing entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest “Storm” is Victor’s most popular number.
“Storm” was written by Victor Crone, Stig Rästa, Vallo Kikas, Fred Krieger and Sebastian Lestapier, and was created during one of Victor’s visits to Estonia. The singer describes it as a song about “weathering hard times – and knowing that they will eventually come to an end.”
