An Australian man has been found dead at a villa in Bali. The 68-year-old, who is believed to be from Cronulla in Sydneys south, was discovered found lying on the floor of his The Janan Villa, in Banjar Panti, Sanur a seaside town in the southeast of the island of Bali.

The 68-year-old, who is believed to be from Cronulla in Sydney’s south, was discovered found lying on the floor of his The Janan Villa, in Banjar Panti, Sanur — a seaside town in the southeast of the island of Bali.

According to Banjar Police, an empty bottle of vodka was found next to him, along with medications. He also reportedly had blood on his lips.

“Initial suspicion is that the victim passed away due to illness. Additionally, at the scene, medications and an empty Vodka bottle were found,” Denpasar Regional Police said in a statement, according to national publication, The Bali Times.

The incident reportedly took place on Monday, September 11 when police received a report about a man found dead inside a villa.

Witness interviews were conducted at the location and despite a thorough examination of the crime scene, there were no visible physical injuries on the victim, The Bali Sun reported.

The victim’s body was transported Sanglah Hospital for an autopsy to be conducted.

The case has raised concerns with the local community and authorities awaiting ongoing investigation results.

The cause of his death is yet to be determined.
