Soler reportedly agreed to a nine-year $30 million agreement with the Chicago Cubs, on 11 June 2012.

After batting .415/.494/.862 with 22 RBIS and six home runs in 22 games, Soler was promoted to the Iowa Cubs, on 22 July 2014.

Soler was called up to the Chicago Cubs for the 1st time, on 25 August 2014. He had two doubles in his home career debut for the Cubs to become just the 3rd major baseball league player on 1 September 2014.

The Cubs operated Soler to the Kansas City Royals for Wade Davis, On 7 December 2016. He started as Kansas City’s 2018 starting right fielder. Anyway, later suffering a toe fracture in mid-June, he was shelved for the remainder of the season.

He batted .265, and led the American baseball League with 48 home runs and 178 strikeouts, in 2019. In the season at the 2020 Kansas City Royals, he batted .228 with eight home runs and 24 RBIs in 43 matches.

Soler agreed to a three-year deal with the Miami Marlins on March 22, 2022.
