As fans of the UK Royals know, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry christened their firstborn, baby Archie Harrison at Windsor Castle and the important event was attended by the closest of family members, including her mother! However, amid the Duchess’ feud with her father, Thomas Markle was, not unexpectedly, absent from the ceremony!
Prince William, Kate, Prince Charles, Camila, as well as Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodal (Princess Diana’s sisters) were also in attendance and they all posed for the cutest pictures with the baby.
A day after the baptism, the estranged father chatted with the Mail, telling the news outlet that he would have definitely enjoyed being there for the milestone as well.
‘I have been asked if I would’ve liked to have gone to Britain and see my new grandson being christened. I was an altar boy at age twelve, a confirmed member of the Queen’s church at age fourteen, and Archie is my new grandson, of course I would’ve enjoyed being there for the blessing, wishing Archie and his parents’ health and happiness,’ Thomas Markle stated.
This would not be the first big event the man missed on.
After all, he was not at his daughter’s royal wedding last year in May or when she gave birth a couple of months either!
As for the christening on Saturday, the new parents made sure to issue a heartwarming statement.
