From 2008 to 2010, Mohit Sehgal brought to life the character of Samrat Shergill, an Excel College heartthrob, basketball team captain & champion, Mayank, Nupur, Dia, and Benji’s best friend, in Miley Jab Hum Tum. For this role, he won the 2010 Kalakar Award for “Best Actor”.
He co-starred alongside the likes of Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover in the soap opera, Qubool Hai, from 2013 to 2014. Sehgal’s performance bagged him the 2014 Asian Viewers Television Award in the “Supporting Actor Of The Year” category.
He gained popularity with his appearance on Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal and was nominated for 2015 Zee Rishtey Awards for “Favourite Nayi Jodi” (With Shiny Doshi), “Favourite Naya Sadasya”, and “Favourite Bhai”.
He also competed in the celebrity dance reality competition TV show, Nach Baliye 8, alongside his partner Sanaya Irani.
