Paige VanZant made headlines when she showed up in AEW alongside American Top Team on the September 15, 2021, edition of Dynamite. She ended up making her in-ring debut at Double or Nothing.
Fans expected more action from the former UFC fighter after her and Men of the Year’s victory over Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara and Frankie Kazarian. Now, VanZant has finally revealed why she hasn’t competed in AEW since DoN.
The 28-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that she’s out of action with a foot injury. VanZant uploaded a clip wherein she revealed the results of her X-ray.
As seen in the video, Paige Vanzant has three broken bones in her foot. The video pretty much confirms why the MMA fighter has had her scheduled Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship bouts postponed in 2022.
Tony Khan would love to have VanZant back in AEW as well. It remains to be seen if the blonde bombshell will return to in-ring action in 2023. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more.
